Happier Festival 2025 demo participants

Participants of my free page pulling demo created beautiful recycled papers decorated with their petals of choice in their artistic positioning of choice.

Each lovely person pulled their own sheet, added their own petal inclusions and let me take their page home to press, dry, cut up and weave back together.

I was so struck by the aesthetics of the Flaxmill in Shrewsbury, especially the Dye House, that before I’d even settled on what I was going to do with the final pieces, I knew it was going to revolve around the incredible windows and brickwork.

Each window is a different participants individually made papers, woven into the space created by Sian at Happier Festival; the colour of the petals highlighting the nature of the brickwork and the presence of the windows surrounding the inner atmosphere of the Dye House.
